Using a combination of websites which show you tips etc. and how to read music/tabs with people on YouTube is a good idea.

Remeber though – never look at the strings whilst playing (where you strum, lol, you’re allowed to look at the neck of the guitar).

You’re gonna need a good and easy to use tuner as well

Make sure (if it is an electric) you have a decent amp.
